SPAGHETTI PIE | |
6 oz. thin spaghetti 2 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. grated parmesan cheese 2 eggs 1 c. cottage cheese 1 lb. ground chuck 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella 1/2 tsp. minced garlic 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 8 oz. can diced tomatoes 6 oz. tomato paste 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. oregano Cook spaghetti, drain and rinse with cold water and then hot water, drain well and mix with butter, parmesan and well beaten eggs, form into bottom and up sides of a 10-inch pie pan. Spread cottage cheese on top. Brown meat with onion and green pepper, drain and mix in rest of ingredients (except mozzarella). Heat through and spread over cottage cheese. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella over meat mixture and bake 8 more minutes. Allow to stand 5 minutes before slicing. |
