FUDGY BROWNIES 
2 (1 oz.) squares chocolate (unsweetened)
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. all purpose or whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts (opt.)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Heat chocolate and butter in two quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until melted, remove from heat. Mix in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients then spread in a greased 9"x9"x2" pan or oblong baking dish, 12" x 7 1/2" x 2". Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool slightly. Cut into 2" squares. If you want to make them less fudgy, leave in five minutes longer. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
