OLD FASHIONED CORN CHOWDER 
1 1/2" cube salt pork
1 onion
4 potatoes
2 c. water
Salt
Pepper
Butter
1 can evaporated milk
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can cream style corn

In a large, deep pan fry salt pork which has been cut into small cubes. Add sliced onion and cook slowly for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add potatoes which have been cut in small cubes. Then add water to the fat. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add corn and milk. Heat. Add seasonings and butter. Serve.
