SHORTCUT DOUGHNUTS 
1 (10 count) pkg. buttermilk biscuits

MAPLE GLAZE:

1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
3-4 tbsp. maple syrup

FRUIT GLAZE:

2 tbsp. grape, apricot or peach jam
1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1-2 tsp. milk

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. milk

Preheat oil in electric deep fryer. Cut centers out of biscuits with a 1 inch cutter. Fry 3 doughnuts at a time for 1 1/2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Fry doughnut holes for about 2 minutes, turning once.

To prepare maple glaze combine sugar with syrup, stirring until smooth. Dip doughnuts and holes in glaze. Sit on rack to drain.

To prepare fruit glaze put jam in a glass dish and microwave on high for 15 seconds, stirring to melt. Stir in sugar. Add milk and stir until smooth. Dip doughnuts and holes in glaze. Drain on rack.

To prepare chocolate glaze combine chocolate chips, syrup and milk in a 2 cup measuring cup. Microwave on high for 1-1 1/2 minutes. Stir until melted. Dip doughnuts and holes in glaze.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
