1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 lg. egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate deluxe baking pieces
1/2 c. white chocolate deluxe baking pieces
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Glaze: 1 c. confectioners' sugar

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, flour, baking soda and salt until thoroughly blended and smooth. Setting 1/4 cup semi-sweet baking pieces aside. Stir remainder into batter along with white chocolate pieces and walnuts.

Divide dough into 8 equal portions; place on ungreased large cookie sheets, spacing well apart. Using 2 forks, press each portion of dough into 3 1/2 inch rounds. Bake cookies 12-15 minutes until golden brown and firm to touch. Cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes; using large metal spatula, carefully remove cookies to wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare Glazes: In small heavy saucepan over very low heat, melt reserved semi- sweet chocolate pieces, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat; let cool slightly. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, stir the confectioners' sugar and 1 tablespoon water until smooth. Using separate spoons, drizzle chocolate and confectioners' sugar over cooled cookies. Let stand about 10 minutes to set glazes. Makes 8 cookies.
