FROZEN STRAWBERRY DESSERT 
1/2 lb. crushed vanilla wafers
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 qt. frozen strawberries
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Butter an 8 x 12 inch oblong pan. Line bottom with crushed vanilla wafers, reserving some for sprinkling on top of finished dessert. Cream butter and powdered sugar together. Add egg yolks; mix well.

Beat egg whites and add to mixture. Spread over cookie crumbs. Thicken strawberry juice (1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch to 1 cup juice) and cook until thickened. Add cooled juice to strawberries and pour over egg mixture. Whip cream and spread over top and chill overnight.
