PEANUT CRISSCROSSERS 
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. sifted flour
Dash of salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Beat well together first 5 ingredients. Add peanut butter; mix well. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Chill, form into balls, place on cookie sheet. Press each cookie cross ways with a fork dipped in water. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Makes about 50 cookies.
