FAVORITE COCOA BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Pecan pieces (optional)

Put butter in microwave and melt. Stir in cocoa and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix baking powder with flour and mix in. Mix up very well. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. You can add caramel or chocolate icing for a richer brownie.

CARAMEL TOPPING:

10 vanilla caramels
2 tsp. water

In bowl in microwave, stir together caramels and water. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Drizzle over brownies. Sprinkle with pecans.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
