CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
Keep your cookie jar full of America's favorite variety.

1 c. butter, softened
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. White Lily self-rising flour
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Blend in flour. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
