LOW COUNTRY RED RICE 
2 strips bacon
1 c. raw rice
1 c. V-8 juice
1 c. strong bouillon
1 sm. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper

Saute bacon and onions. Remove to baking dish. Place raw rice in frying pan with seasoning bacon grease - stir over low heat until light brown. Put in casserole with other ingredients. Cover and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6.
