MEATBALLS AND SAUCE 
1 lb. ground chuck
1 pkg. onion soup mix
3/4 c. bread crumbs
1 egg
salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients and form balls.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for approximately 10 minutes.

Sauce:

14 oz. ketchup
10 oz. apple jelly
1 tsp. oregano

Mix ingredients in crock-pot. Stir thoroughly. Add cooked meatballs and cook on high for 30 or 40 minutes. Turn crock-pot down to lowest setting to keep meatballs and sauce warm while serving.

Variation: If you wish to place meatballs on a chafing dish and use toothpicks to dip into sauce, be sure to cook the meatballs longer in the oven (approximately 30 minutes) so that they will be thoroughly done.
