PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. persimmon pulp (put through blender)
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda (dissolved in persimmon pulp)
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. each cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg
1 egg

Cream shortening and sugar. Add nuts and raisins to the flour and spices. Beat egg and add to pulp. Add and mix pump mixture to the creamed shortening and the sugar mixture.

Then add dry ingredients. Drop on a greased cookie sheet and bake about 13 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Cookies should be chewy - not dry.
