YUMMY CARAMELS 
2 c. sugar
2 c. white syrup
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. salt
1 can Eagle Brand milk sweetened condensed

Put first 4 ingredients in heavy pan. Cook and stir until soft ball stage. Remove form heat and add 1 can Eagle Brand milk stirring constantly. Return to heat and cook to soft ball stage or caramel color.

Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Put into 9 x 13 buttered pan. Cool and cut into pieces and wrap.
