PAVLOVA 
4 lg. egg whites
1 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. sugar
Pinch of salt

Place all ingredients in large mixer bowl and pour 6 tablespoons boiling water over. Beat on slow speed until blended then beat at high speed for at least 10 minutes. Cover a large round pan with foil. I use a pizza pan. Spread mixture evenly. Place in oven.

Preheat oven well to 350 degrees beforehand. Leave oven turned on for 5 minutes after putting pavlova in, then turn off heat and bake for 1 hour. When cooked, the outside should be crusty and toothpick comes out clean. Decorate when cold with 2 cups whip cream or Cool Whip and well drained fruit. Excellent with fresh fruit or canned pie filling. Keeps well.
