LAYER LETTUCE SALAD 
1 head lettuce
1 sm. onion, sliced in rings
3 or 4 pieces celery, chopped
1 sm. green pepper, chopped
1 c. green peas, drained
2 c. salad dressing

TOPPING:

4 hard-cooked eggs, grated
6 to 8 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
5 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

Place lettuce in layer on bottom of glass serving dish. Add layer of onion rings, layer of celery, layer of pepper and place peas on top. Put a thick layer of mayonnaise or salad dressing over all and cover. Place in refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight. When ready to serve, make Topping and sprinkle over top of mayonnaise.
