LENTIL SOUP 
1 red onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 c. lentils
1 veg. bouillon cube
1 c. barley
10 c. water
4 carrots, chopped
2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
1/2 c. fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 head of broccoli, chopped
1 (12 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can stewed tomatoes

Saute garlic, onions, celery. Add 10 cups of water. Then add in carrots and broccoli. Cook until carrots and broccoli half way tender. Add in lentils. When lentils are almost cooked, add in rest of ingredients. Cook until everything is done.
