CANDY'S CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 sticks real butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3 eggs 1 tbsp. vanilla In a small pot add water, butter and cocoa. Cook to a boil. In a separate bowl, mix flour and soda. Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry mixture while adding the buttermilk, vanilla and eggs. Bake this cake at 350 in a large square pan for about 40 minutes. Do not remove the cake from the pan. As soon as you take it from the oven pour the icing over it and let it all cool at the same time. CANDY'S CHOCOLATE ICING: 1 stick butter 4 tbsp. cocoa 1/3 c. milk 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 box powdered sugar Melt the butter, milk and cocoa in a pot. Let it come to a boil until it is smooth. In another bowl have your powdered sugar measured out. Pour your hot mixture over the dry and beat with a mixer. Last, add your vanilla flavor. Pour the hot icing over your chocolate cake. This cake is easy to make. You can hardly go wrong with this cake!!! |
