BUTTERSCOTCH DROP COOKIES 
2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
2/3 c. soft butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar and butter. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla into mixture. Add nuts. Sift remaining ingredients together and blend into mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes. Yields 6 to 10 dozen.

I add a 6 ounce package or more of chocolate chips for chocolate chip cookies.
