ICE CREAM PIE 
25 Oreo cookies, crushed
1/3 c. butter, melted

ICE CREAM LAYER:

1 qt. vanilla ice cream, softened

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter
2/3 c. evaporated milk
3 sq. bitter chocolate
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Crust: In small bowl, mix crushed Oreo's with melted butter. Press into bottom of a deep dish 9 inch pie pan. Freeze 30 minutes.

Ice cream layer: Spread vanilla ice cream over crust, return to freezer for 30 minutes or until firm.

Topping: In small saucepan, combine ingredients (above). Bring to a boil. Cook 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside to cool. When topping is cooled, spread onto ice cream layer. Serve with whipped cream and slivered nuts, if desired. Store in freezer.
