APPLE GINGER DESSERT 
1 box ginger bread mix
1/2 c. water
2 c. peeled apple slices

TOPPING:

1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. chopped nuts
2 tbsp. butter

Grease bottom and sides of 8 or 9 inch square pan.

In mixing bowl, mix ginger bread mix and water. Blend, then beat hard for 2 minutes. Stir in apple slices. Combine topping ingredients and crumble over the batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes until top springs back when lightly touched in center. Serve warm or cold. 6-8 servings.
