MEAT LOAF IN A LOAF | |
1 loaf French bread 1 can evaporated milk 1 lb. ground beef 1 sm. onion 1 egg 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. salt Slit French bread down the center, lengthwise; hollow out the loaf. Take 2 cups of the crumbs and pour evaporated milk over them. Let stand 10 minutes, then combine remaining ingredients with this mixture. Fill the hollow loaf and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Makes 6-8 servings. |
