APPLESAUCE CAKE #1 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
2 eggs
3 c. applesauce
4 c. plain flour
1 c. chopped nuts (pecans)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cloves
3 tsp. cinnamon
4 tsp. baking soda
1 box raisins
1 lb. chopped red cherries

Put in a greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 325-350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Save some cherries and nuts to decorate the top with. This makes a large cake and can be kept in the refrigerator for days.
