CHERRY NUT PATTIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. candied cherries, chopped
1/2 c. raisins, cut in half
1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c. flour

GLAZE:

1 c. powdered sugar
Enough maraschino cherry juice to desired consistency.

Brush glaze onto warm cookies with pastry brush.

Cream butter, add sugar, egg, and salt, beat well. Add nuts, cherries and raisins, stir in flour. May chill for easier handling. Shape into balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until done. Glaze while warm.
