CHILI BEAN SALAD 
1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1 med. onion, chopped fine
1 lg. head lettuce
2 tomatoes, diced med.
1 (15 oz.) can chili beans in sauce, chilled
3/4 bottle Kraft Catalina dressing, chilled
1 med. bag Fritos or Dorito taco chips, crushed

Wash and tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Wash chilled chili beans to remove the sauce; then drain. Combine beans, tomatoes, cheese, and dressing. Toss gently and allow to chill for at least 1/2 hour. Mix in lettuce and Fritos just before serving. Serves 8 (generous servings).

Please note that no spices are called for. Please try as is before you improvise.
