MICROWAVE BREAD PUDDING 
6 slices bread (1/2" thick)
2 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. milk
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

On microwave plate soften butter on defrost 10 seconds. Pour milk in 4 cup glass measuring cup and microwave on high 5 to 8 minutes or until hot but not boiling. Spread butter on one side of bread slice. Cut into 1" squares, arrange in layers buttered side up in a buttered 2 quart casserole.

In bowl beat eggs and sugar, stir in vanilla and cinnamon. Gradually pour in warm milk and stir constantly. Pour over bread cubes. Microwave, uncovered at medium (60) for 10 minutes, rotating 1 quart turn twice. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm or chilled. 4 to 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
