MARIBETH'S FRUIT SALAD 
1 (#48) macaroni (acini de pepe)
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple tidbits or crushed pineapple
1 (11 oz.0 can mandarin oranges
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. flour
Dash of salt
Cool Whip or other whipped topping

Cook 1 cup (about 1/2 box) acini de pepe - drain and let cool. Drain and save juices from pineapple and mandarin oranges. Heat juices and add beaten eggs, sugar, flour and salt. Cook until thickened. Add to macaroni and chill. Before serving, add fruit and Cool Whip (to taste). I usually use about 1 cup Cool Whip. Chill (at least 2 hour). Makes a lot - can be used as a side dish or even a dessert. (This recipe is originally from Maribeth Jennings).
