CRAB PUFFS SUPREME | |
1 (6 1/2 oz.) can crabmeat, drained and flaked 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 3 green onions, chopped 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 c. water 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. flour 4 eggs Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine first 5 ingredients in medium bowl and mix well. Combine water, butter and salt in large saucepan and bring to boil. Remove from heat and immediately add flour, beating until mixture leaves sides of pan and forms a ball. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Thoroughly blend in crab mixture. Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 10 minutes more. Unbaked puffs can be frozen on baking sheet and transferred to plastic bags. Reheat without thawing at 375 degrees until crisp. Makes 4 dozen. |
