HOLIDAY WHISKEY CAKE | |
1 box yellow cake mix (without pudding) 1 box instant vanilla pudding 4 eggs 1/2 c. oil 1 c. milk 1 shot whiskey (1 1/2 oz.) 1 c. walnuts, chopped TOPPING: 1 stick butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. whiskey Combine all cake ingredients. Mix three minutes with mixer and pour into a well greased tube or bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Melt butter. Add sugar and whiskey. Cook until sugar is dissolved and has a syrup texture. After removing cake from oven, poke holes with a fork in bottom. Pour 1/2 of syrup mixture over cake, rest in pan 15 to 20 minutes. Remove cake from pan and brush remaining syrup on sides and top of cake. |
