RICE MEAT BALLS 
1 c. rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp. onion
2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, mixed with 1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. sugar

Combine rice, beef, egg, onion, salt and pepper, with 1/2 cup tomato sauce mixing lightly. Shape into balls. Add sugar to 2 cups tomato sauce, then pour over meatballs. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer covered for 15 minutes, basting occasionally.
