1 1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook milk and cornstarch until thick and cool completely. Beat sugar, butter, shortening, salt, vanilla until creamy. Add thickened mixture, and beat well.
