CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 heaping tbsp. cocoa
3 eggs, separated
1/2 stick butter
Dash of salt

Mix sugar, flour and cocoa. Add enough water to make paste. Beat in well egg yolks. Heat remaining water and butter. Add to paste with salt. Cook over medium heat until thick.

Remove from heat and add vanilla. When cooled slightly pour into 9 inch pie shell. Use egg white to make topping. Brown topping.
