MANDARIN STIR FRY 
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/4 c. water
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/3 c. corn syrup
1/4-1/2 tsp. crushed dried red pepper

Mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and set aside.

STIR FRY:

1 lb. boneless pork, chicken or beef, cut into thin strips
2 c. broccoli floweretts and sliced stems
2 onions, cut into thin wedges1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
10-12 cherry tomatoes, halved
2 cloves garlic, minced
Vegetable oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons oil over medium heat. Add meat and garlic. Stir fry until tender. Remove from skillet. Add more oil if needed. Add broccoli and onions. Stir fry 2 minutes. Add mushrooms and continue to stir until tender crisp. Add tomato halves and meat. Restir sauce mix and stir into skillet. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat and boil for 1 minute. Serve with rice. Makes 4-6 servings.
