YEAST DOUGHNUTS | |
1 1/2 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1 c. butter 3 tsp. salt 4 pkg. yeast 1 c. warm water 1 tsp. almond extract 2 eggs 8 c. flour Oil for frying Scald milk. Add sugar, butter (cooled), salt, yeast dissolved in 1 cup warm water. Mix almond extract, eggs and 4 cups flour. Beat until smooth then stir 4 more cups flour. Cover and let rise until double. Then roll out and cut with donut cutter. Let rise. Have oil hot in deep fryer, then dip donut in until brown. |
