TACO CASSEROLE 
2 c. coarsely broken tortilla chips
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. sliced green onions with tops
1 bottle taco sauce
2-4 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 head lettuce, shredded
1 lb. ground beef
15 oz. can chili beans
8 oz. can tomato paste
1 tomato, chopped
1 c. Cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1 green pepper, chopped

Cook and stir ground beef until brown. Drain. Stir in beans, tomato paste, 2 tablespoons taco sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Heat until boiling. Place chips in ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. Top with the beef mixture. Spread out sour cream. Sprinkle onions, tomatoes and cheese on top.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Arrange additional chips around casserole and serve with shredded lettuce, taco sauce and peppers. Makes 4-6 servings.
