GORDON'S MEAT PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. onion
4 lg. potatoes
2 oz. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sage
1/2 c. milk
2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Mix flour and shortening well. Add salt, add milk and baking powder. Mix until smooth. This will be pie crust for a 9 inch pie. Divide roll bottom pie crust.

Fry diced onions until tender. Add ground beef and all seasonings. Fry until well done. Set to one side, in a 2 quart sauce pan cut peeled potatoes in 1/2 and boil until done. Drain off water. Put back into sauce pan and mash with 2 ounces butter, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and 1/2 cup milk. Add to meat. Stir until well blended. Add to bottom pie crust in a 9 inch pie tin. Add top crust. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.

NOTE: By using 1 cup of cottage cheese with 3 eggs, mix well, you can use this for top crust. This will then be a low fat dish.
