CHRISTMAS CUTOUT COOKIES 
2 lb. powdered sugar
6 eggs
2 lb. butter
3 lb. flour (11 1/4 c.)
2 oz. vanilla

Melt butter only until easily worked with hands. Mix sugar and butter together. Add well beaten eggs and flour alternately. Add vanilla last. Dough will be soft. Roll out dough to 1/2 to 1/4 inch thick. Use favorite cookie cutters. bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake. Frost or sprinkle. Makes 11-12 dozen.

Another idea to do instead of frosting: Take 1 egg yolk, separate in 2 clean small dishes. Add 1 teaspoon food coloring to egg yolk. Mix well. Using a small craft paintbrush, paint cookies before baking.
