SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. finely ground beef
1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg
2/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. grated onion
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Mix together all the above ingredients lightly. Gently form into small (1 1/2 inch) balls. Brown in hot fat. Add about 1/4 cup hot water. Cover, simmer 20 minutes. Serve with pan gravy.
