ICEBOX COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 c. chopped nuts (preferably walnuts)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat together. Mix together flour and nuts; add to mixture. Chill several hours. Form 1-inch oblong rolls (approximately 4). Cut in round disks. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until brown.

Yields 4 to 5 dozen.
