SAUSAGE CHOWDER | |
2 lbs. sausage, mild or hot 4 c. water 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained 2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes, whole or chopped 2 med. onions, chopped 2 med. potatoes, peeled & chopped or cubed 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry thyme 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. pepper Brown and drain sausage. Put in Dutch oven. Into Dutch oven, stir in remaining ingredients, bring to boil, cover and simmer 1 hour. This is good with cornbread or French bread. Add a salad and you have a complete meal. |
