CRUMB APPLE PIE | |
6 - 7 apples, peeled and sliced 1 pie shell, unbaked 1/3 c. sugar 3/4 tsp. cinnamon TOPPING: 1/3 c. sugar 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 6 tbsp. butter Arrange pie crust and apple slices in pie plate, sprinkling sugar and cinnamon mixture over each layer of apples. Combine topping ingredients in separate bowl; mix with fork or hand-held pastry blender until a "crumb" consistency is reached. Layer topping mixture over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes. Freezing not recommended. |
