SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe cake mix
1 c. plain flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3 eggs
8 oz. sour cream
1 stick butter

Mix dry ingredients. Beat eggs, sugar, and butter. Add sour cream. Alternating flour mixture and milk, add to first mixture, beating slowly. Bake in well greased, floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown. For chocolate pound cake, use chocolate cake mix and 1 tablespoon cocoa.

Trust me... I am a pound cake snob!!! This is wonderful. Makes a great layer cake for birthday with vanilla buttercream. I added some flavoring also... beautiful texture, moist...I really don't think most people would ever guess it has a mix in it..Freezes well too... this will be your "go to" cake... love it.

This is a wonderful cake and easy to make. I like to use a bundt pan that I grease and then use sugar instead of flour in the pan. When it is done, the bundt cake has a lovely crispy, sugary crust that gets plenty of compliments.
