VILLAGE HOUSE SPINACH SALAD | |
2 bunches spinach, washed and torn into bite-size pieces 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced DRESSING: 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 1/2 tsp. onion juice 2 tsp. lemon juice 3 tbsp. cider vinegar 1/2 c. oil 1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts Make dressing earlier in the day so the water chestnuts absorb some flavor. Mix rest of ingredients 1/2 hour before serving and toss gently with salad dressing. |
