MEAT AND POTATO PIE | |
Cook a roast in crockpot (season). Cook until nice and tender, after roast is done take it out and cut it up in small pieces and cover in juice. Slice some potatoes (enough for at least 2 pies about 5 medium potatoes). Cool 10 to 15 minutes until tender. While potatoes are cooking mix pie crust. PIE CRUST: 3 c. plain flour 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. shortening 8 tbsp. water (may take little more) Mix well and roll out for pie crust. Will make bottom and top. In bottom of crust put in 2 tablespoons flour, a layer of meat (fill about 1/2 full), top with potatoes, salt, pepper and butter. Use about 3/4 cup juice from meat to pour over top. Put on top crust and make slit in top. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown. Enjoy! |
