POWDERED SUGAR ROLL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream butter and powdered sugar. Add rest of ingredients and blend. Roll on floured board and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Tips: Use 1/2 cup Crisco and 1/2 cup butter instead of 1 cup butter. Pack powdered sugar in measuring cup to get full amount. Roll thin for crisp cookies. Thick for softer cookies.
