10 slices white bread 1 1/2 c. cooked ham, chopped, or 1 lb. pkg. sausage, browned and drained 5 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded 4 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded 3 eggs 1 1/2 c. milk 1/4 tsp. onion salt 1/4 tsp. mustard (dry) 1 1/2 c. corn flakes 1/2 c. melted butter Butter 13x9 inch pan. Cut off crusts and put half of bread over bottom of pan. Spread half of meat over bread. Sprinkle half of cheeses over. Repeat layers. Combine eggs, milk and seasonings and pour over layers. Seal tightly with foil and refrigerate overnight. Next day make a topping of corn flakes and butter and sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Serve immediately. Yields 8 to 12 servings. |
