SOURDOUGH STARTER | |
4 c. flour 1 cake yeast 4 c. warm water 3 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt Mix all ingredients together in glass jar. Don't seal tight, cover with muslin so it can breathe. Let stand in warm place 2-3 days until it foams and bubbles. Don't refrigerate! When you use 2 cups of the starter, replace it with 1 cup flour, 1 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon salt; let stand again. |
