SOURDOUGH STARTER 
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. warm water
3 heaping tbsp. instant potatoes

Mix all ingredients well and cover with foil. Make a hole in the foil for air (about the size of a quarter). Let stand until bubbles form on top - may take several days. When bubbles form, refrigerate for 3-5 days.

Take out and feed by adding same original 3 ingredients. After feeding, let sit out 8-12 hours. Refrigerate 3-5 days more.

Take out and feed again. Let sit 8-12 hours. Take out 1 cup and use to bake. Return remaining starter to refrigerator for 3-5 days. Feed. Let stand 8-12 hours. Bake with 1 cup or give to a friend. Starter must always be fed every 3-5 days.
