GOOD PIE CRUST 
4 c. flour, unsifted
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 lg. egg
1 3/4 c. solid vegetable shortening
1/2 c. water

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add shortening. Mix well with fork until crumbly. In a small bowl, beat together egg and vinegar. Add water. Combine 2 mixtures with fork until all is moistened. Divide into 5 equal rounds. Bake at 475 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

NOTE: Leola suggest putting the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before dividing.
