OATMEAL-CARROT COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. finely shredded carrots
1/4 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed. Add about half the flour, brown sugar, sugar, egg, baking soda. Stir in remaining flour. Stir in carrots and raisins. Drop dough by teaspoon onto an ungreased sheet. Bake 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove and cool. Makes 4 dozen.
