CHOCOLATE TOFFEE 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
4 oz. pkg. slivered almonds
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 lb. butter
8 oz. pkg. chocolate Hershey bar, or 1 c. kisses

Butter 2 to 3 quart bowl along the top and edges. Place butter into bowl. Pour sugar on butter; add salt and water. Place in microwave and cook for 6 minutes. Keep cooking at 30 second intervals until candy is color of brown sugar (4 to 5 minutes). Pour over slivered almonds which have been placed on a buttered 9 x 12 inch cookie sheet. Top with melted chocolate and spread over mixture. Cool and break into pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
